Website Design and Maintenance
This portion of the ministry grew out of the need to publish articles without the limitations of print publishing. Although access to the articles is limited by access to the internet, the reach of the articles extends far beyond fundamental, unaffiliated Baptist circles to touch a worldwide audience.
To meet the need, I designed the Reproach of Men website to be as simple and accessible as possible, yet with a liquid design to flow to fill the viewer’s screen. Since the launch of Reproach of Men, I have recoded the pages and launched two other companion websites, Oprobio de los Hombres and Spott der Leute, which are the Reproach of Men website in Spanish and German. The plain, simple, accessible design reflects the Lord Jesus Christ in that He is plain, His gospel is simple, and He is accessible to all who will come.
However, the Lord has not allowed me to stop there. I have been burdened by the fact that many fundamental, unaffiliated Baptist churches and ministries do not have a presence on the Web, I began to expand the ability to design websites to fit the character of other ministries. At present, I have converted one website for a private law firm, developed the website for Faith Baptist Aviation Ministry, totally reformatted the website of Faith Baptist Church in Harrison, Arkansas, and am building a website for my home church, Faith Baptist Church of Spokane, Missouri.
I design and develop websites with certain goals in mind:
First
They are to be as accessible as possible to everyone who browses the web. This allows anyone to access the information, regardless of what means they use to browse the web. Moreover, when the information the site has appears, even if the decoration doesn’t, the individual visiting the site will still get the most important thing — the information.
Second
They must adhere to established standards for coding and design. This is a testimony to the world that the Lord’s people are careful and conscientious about how they do things. If someone looks at a website for a church, and it is poorly done, it loads slow, or the coding is messy, it reflects upon that church and upon the Lord whom we serve.
