I am constantly amazed at the unwillingness to hear and willful blindness and incuriosity of so many regarding the Gospel and the truth of the Scripture. It is as if they want to be destroyed rather than give any time at all to a fair consideration of the word of God. The reasonable thing to do would be to actually investigate and search out honestly the truth of it. Rather, they reject it outright or feign interest and investigation, pretending to be sincere. How very sad.
Without exception, in Christ, the saints have no fear of what happens on this earth as their home is in heaven.
A call to worship the LORD God, to every man.
A hymn that calls us to remembrance of the boundless grace of the LORD God, and how He carries us as His precious children to our eternal destiny in Heaven.
A call to those who do not know the Lord Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, to look upon Jesus’ willing submission to death upon the cross and what it means for them. This is not a trite jingo, or light and frivolous consideration, but to seriously consider where they will end up when they leave this earth upon death. Do they really want to spend forever with the wrath of the LORD God directed at them, when they could so easily be reconciled?
And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God: Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the LORD do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me. (Ruth 1:16-17)
Come ye near unto me, hear ye this; I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the time that it was, there am I: and now the Lord GOD, and his Spirit, hath sent me. Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go. (Isaiah 48:16-17)
But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
I looked on my right hand, and beheld, but there was no man that would know me: refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul. I cried unto thee, O LORD: I said, Thou art my refuge and my portion in the land of the living.
